Description

AGILE provides industry-leading test and data acquisition capabilities on-site, which enables hardware and hot-fire rich development approach that underpins AGILE’s rapid iteration cycles. AGILE has a complete vacuum altitude test system and can measure propellant flow rates with a resolution of 150 nL at a rate of 200kHz. AGILE’s test site has no limitations on the weather conditions or annual maximum for testing and an experienced team for handling hypergolic propellants. AGILE’s facility has over a decade of test heritage and has conducted over 4000 hotfire tests for multiple NASA centers and aerospace primes. AGILE has the capability to perform integrated stage testing at its test facility and also has a satellite test facility at the Mojave Air & Space Port.

Special Details

AGILE’s test stand employs an altitude test chamber that can establish vacuum to 2-Torr (130,000 feet) and can maintain required vacuum for pulse mode and steady state duty cycles. The AGILE propellant system is certified for a range of hypergolic and green propellants and is optimized for propulsion system development and qualification. The feed system ensures highly controlled test conditions especially suited for high-MON oxidizers such as MON-25. The propellant tankage, run lines, and thruster test article can be independently conditioned between a range of -50°F and 165°F to allow thorough testing of high MON thrusters at extreme temperature operation and performance. Representative of flight systems, the feed system is compact and close-coupled and features a wide range of diagnostic instrumentation. The system is tuneable and can support precise helium bubble injection or propellant saturation for stability testing.
