Petroleum Refineries

Establishments in this category are primarly engaged in (1) manufacturing acyclic (i.e., aliphatic) hydrocarbons such as ethylene, propylene, and butylene made from refined petroleum or liquid hydrocarbons and/or (2) manufacturing cyclic aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene, toluene, styrene, xylene, ethyl benzene, and cumene made from refined petroleum or liquid hydrocarbons.

Industrial Gas Manufacturing

Establishments in this category are primarly engaged in manufacturing industrial organic and inorganic gases in compressed, liquid, and solid forms.

Synthetic Dye and Pigment Manufacturing

Establishments in this category are primarly engaged in manufacturing synthetic organic and inorganic dyes and pigments, such as lakes and toners (except electrostatic and photographic).

Ethyl Alcohol Manufacturing

Iron and Steel Mills and Ferroalloy Manufacturing
