Description
Berkeley Air Monitoring Group is an environmental health consulting company with over 12 years of experience providing independent, solution-neutral field and laboratory assessments in the energy, air pollution, and climate sectors to a range of government agencies, partner implementers, and other funders. Our work focuses primarily on evaluating the impact of household energy technologies, especially biomass stoves, on indoor and outdoor air quality, human health, and the sociocultural landscape in underserved communities in the U.S. and around the globe. We have completed close to 75 projects, resulting in scores of peer-reviewed and gray literature publications. Our services include: study design; field study implementation; emissions and air pollution monitoring; fuel use quantification; surveys and focus group discussions; behavioral analysis of factors affecting energy technology transitions; instrumentation advice; training and capacity building; and fit-for-purpose reporting.
