Fluent Metal is developing a liquid metal additive process capable of creating metal parts in a single step. Our process generates molten metal droplets in a droplet generator. These droplet generators can be arrayed into a printhead with metal throughput up to three orders of magnitude higher than current state-of-the-art solutions. Conventional processes rely on hard-to-control crucible technology, which works well in the lab but will not scale to meet industrial requirements. In short, our technology enables direct liquid metal printing in a single step with faster throughput, better yield, and greater safety—all at a lower cost.
