Mr. Ballis has a very broad background in the safety and environmental profession including industrial hygiene, chemical safety, toxicology, safety engineering, indoor air quality, asbestos issues, medical surveillance, and training. Environmental expertise includes hazardous waste, underground storage tanks, air pollution permits, wastewater treatment, Cal-EPA, recycling and risk management. He has worked in several different industries including hospitals, semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, environmental consulting, hazardous waste remediation, asbestos abatement, and industrial manufacturing. Mr. Ballis was a highly respected GEMS Program Manager for the US Department of Veterans Affairs until he left in 2019. He is very familiar with the environmental compliance and industrial hygiene requirements of the VA. It should also be noted he was highly sought after by VA headquarters staff for his expertise.
