Lux is a highly engineered construction toy which serves a number of purposes in the STEM and STEAM education, art and design and therapeutic realms. Lux was created with the primary goal of allowing those who use it to learn about nature’s design principles through play (heuristic learning). Because of its pinless hinged connector, it links together, rather than stacking (like bricks) which models the way nature is put together from a molecular to a mass level. Lux are a perfect manipulative construction tool to lead design projects or model machines and physics experiments. They can also be used for fine motor skill therapy and development, and with patients with sensory or behavioral issues in terms of both comfort and focus. Lux publishes projects which support math and science standards.
