Description

SBVE was formed in 1989, incorporated in 1993 and specializes in custom valves for submersibles and Navy combatants. The core product is a line of high pressure ball valves per MIL-V-22687 which have been used in LEVEL I/SUBSAFE and SOC –Scope of Certification applications for decades. In fact, product pedigree dates back to 1963 when first qualified by Fluid Dynamics when LEVEL I was initiated. These valves are qualified for high shock and vibration and some have been UNDEX tested. While normally a manually operated valve, we have added actuators(electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic). Ball valves include trunnions which significantly lower operating torque permitting smaller actuators to be used. Example, a half inch bore valve at 5ksi pressure requires only 85 inch-pound breakout torque. SBVE offers custom designs for pressures above 6KSI and bore sizes to 2.3 inches which are beyond the mil-spec.
