SCLS is a professional contract grazing company specializing in carry-ing out carefully managed grazing programs with mixed species herds of sheep and goats, in efforts to reduce targeted vegetation for fire hazard abatement, invasive species reduction, and to achieve ecologi-cal steward-ship objectives. We work with both public agencies, pri-vate landowners and managers to develop these targeted grazing ser-vices for mid-scale (5+ acres) to large scale (100+ acres) projects. We provide: 24 hour on-site management and care of the livestock with routine assessments and sup-port by our staff Operations and Project Man-agers. The usage of specially designed electric fenc-es for the enclosure of the animals to pro-mote targeted grazing in designated areas. Trained border collie herding dogs to assist us in the herding of our livestock, as well as guard dogs for on-site protection from preda-tor species.
