Metal sorption media for use in drinking water, industrial waste water, mining and radioactive waste management. Tusaar’s LASor (Ligand Augmented Sorption) technology delivers a unique, versatile and robust industrial waste water treatment media that removes up to 45 different targeted metals from aqueous streams. The technology performs in difficult conditions – presence of organics, high TDS & COD, multiple metals and contaminants – conditions where competitors fail. The granulated activated carbon (GAC) based media involves surface treatment and doping with environmentally friendly organic ligands. The technology is simple to use and does not require highly trained operators. It uses standard, of the shelf water treatment equipment and in many cases currently installed systems using media (ion exchange, GAC etc.) can be retrofitted to use LASor. The media can be regenerated for reuse in-situ and the targeted metals recovered if so desired.
