Description

Established in 2006, WebSec has worked with leading defense industry companies to create applications, test suites, software libraries, software solutions, simulators, and data capture devices. A recent project involved a number of wearable and handheld devices running on a customized Android platform. WebSec created the Trusted Boot, implemented and tested the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) Requirements, and developed a Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution to apply the security profiles and manage keys. The Android devices are currently being marketed to both DoD and civilian users. We continue to work on developing security features for the next iteration of handheld and wearable devices. Another current project includes defining the security requirements, security architecture, and software components for a fielded device. WebSec has developed EKMS solutions for Windows XP, Windows CE, Linux, embedded Linux, and embedded ARM processors.

Special Details

WebSec Corporation’s Data Capture Device (DCD) is an engineering device intended to validate or troubleshoot ECU/EKMS/KMI communications and is currently the only passive data collection device for EKMS/KMI Protocols. The benefit of passive data collection is that the user can visually see and extract the data without modifying the data signals. This method ensures that no data voltages or timing are being modified, ensuring a true capture of data coming from the fill port connection to the ECU.
