Description

Phoebus performs custom R&D of imaging filters and polarizers, including device design and simulations, and micro- and nano-fabrication to produce devices for optical and RF imaging, plasmonic sensing of chem/biotoxins, and filtering and polarizing in the visible and IR. Phoebus also assists customers with optical device testing and failure analysis. Phoebus collaborates with companies on federally funded R&D projects.

Modeling and Simulations: CST Studio Suite, Ansys HFSS, Finite-Element and Time Domain Modeling. Fabrication: extensive silicon-based and CMOS-compatible processes, some processes for III-V, II-IV, ceramic and plastic substrates, Lithography >= 50nm, metal and dielectric material deposition. Testing: FTIR, SEM with EDX, visible and IR Spectroscopy, Ellipsometry.
