Cooling packs can be recharged in ice water in 20 min, the fridge in 60 min and the freezer in 45 min. The cooling vest weighs less than 2 lbs and is safe to wear against skin. The packs start to melt and refreeze at 70F/ 21C. They won't burn the skin like ice or get the person wet like ice.
