Moye Consultants recently developed the Simultaneous Battery and Capacitor Design Model (SBCDM). The SBCDM is a novel energy storage device model that considers size and properties of the materials used to make the energy storage device and the desired operating current (or power), mass and volume. From this information the SBCDM computes the amount of energy stored or discharged during a dis/charge cycle.
