SIMmersion's PeopleSim technology was designed to build lasting communication skills by providing advanced role-play simulations that play differently each time they are used for practice. On-screen characters have memory and evolving emotions, so they behave like real people. Users can talk to the characters with a microphone or communicate with a mouse. The technology can support conversations with video-based characters or avatars in 3-D environments. The same technology is being used to create intelligent tutors and as an assessment instrument.
