Sightline was primary author of the Airfield Marking Handbook written for the FAA in 2006 to describe best practices of marking maintenance. Since then, Sightline has developed the Marking Condition Index to evaluate existing marking systems at airports, develop a maintenance plan based on the data, and provide a budgetary analysis. Sightline has also developed training programs for anyone involved in the design, monitoring, maintenance or management of airfield markings. During marking installations, Sightline personnel provide quality control to ensure airports receive what they are paying for: long lasting, effective markings that provide the necessary element of safety.
